American Heart Month

American Heart Month & National Wear Red Day

February 4, 2021…….MCC Internal Medicine recognizes American Heart Month & National Wear Red Day.

American Heart Month is a federally designated event and is an important month for heart health communication.

It is an ideal time to remind Americans to focus on their hearts and encourage them to get their families, friends, and communities involved.

The month is being used to raise awareness about heart disease and how people can prevent it – both at home and in the community.

Friday, February 5th is National Wear Red Day – wear red to help promote awareness! All part of Go Red for Women. Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s global initiative to end heart disease and stroke in women. Launched in 2004 to close the gap in awareness, Go Red quickly expanded into a worldwide movement dedicated to removing the barriers women face to achieving good health and wellbeing.
